Hey you really should keep an eye on Target, they changed how they are selling the Series X it's not being announced or anything they are just updating stock for stores in your area as they get them and you can pick up In store. I randomly checked my Target 2 days ago in the morning and they had stock and had no problem ordering one.
It's hard for scalpers to pick them all up quick since the stock just randomly updates

If you are gunho about getting one follow @wario64 and @videogamedeals on Twitter. You will get stock updates frequently. As long as you have your phone nearby. You'll get one in a week or two. Admittedly PS5 is more of a crapshoot but I helped a few people get one this way.

Not sure how helpful but in my recent experience, I listed a mint PS4 Pro here (original box/cables/etc.) for $250+shipping but didn't draw much interest, especially with the firmware being 8.03. I turned around and put it up on eBay for like $339 with free shipping (basically $250 with shipping, fees, and a little extra for my hassle rolled in) and it sold within a couple of hours of listing.

Oy... Yeah I feel like on Era, most of us who've wanted a PS4 already has/had one. And with the chip shortage still being a thing, general consumers are snapping up any playstation and driving up prices everywhere else. That's why I told her I'd reach out here... Shoot. If you go back a bunch of pages, there were a couple of other PS4 consoles that popped up around whenever I was trying to sell mine (shortly after, I think) -- not sure what those users did, ultimately, but if you go back to say, late March and look around (maybe use the search for this thread) you could maybe contact those other posters to see if they ever sold theirs.

So you just browse the website and check for stock around you every morning and you found one? And to be clear, the ones "in-store" can only be purchased 1 at a time so it's probably inhibitory to scalpers and thus easier for a regular customer to get one? I'm assuming you got it through in-store pickup?

Thanks! Bookmarked the target site and will be checking daily. This is a good move by Target.
Basically I searched for a series x and bookmarked that page and go into it randomly mainly mornings to see when it changes from out of stock to being able to purchase one.
Why other stores aren't doing this now makes no sense it makes it easier to get one In some cases and curbs scalping

You bought your Series X when target had their last big restock though. They didnt change how they did things for that drop. You got lucky as target basically hinted that they were gonna do one last big drop on the 18th. Now it is different, but that doesn't mean people still will be able to buy before scalpers. As scalpers could also be using a bot to check inventory every minute.
