I'm curious about the MLB the show sales split between Xbox and Sony. Otherwise great to see the big three(and pc) thriving!
PlayStation continuing it's incredible momentum from last generation. It's expected but still impressive to see, and that's whilst the console remains in insane demand here in the UK. You still cannot just go online or in store and buy one.
Add in the fact that we're still in a pandemic and gaming has become even more important for a lot of people and it's a recipe for huge success.

Impossible to know since most of Xbox's The Show's playerbase is on Game Pass

Here in Portugal buying in-store isn't possible because Sony mandates that all consoles be sold online. I'm guessing to prevent gatherings/covid because of the console that could result in bad publicity.
In the following weeks, console stock is expected to increase to never seen levels, here in Portugal.
Surprised to see them reporting on Returnal's sales like that with it not hitting a million, but over 500k in the time period for a more niche title seems like a really solid result.
Yeah I'd imagine their expectations are not gonna be crazy high for a $70 roguelike. 500k+ is a pretty decent start.
Its probably a little bit less than that since the total player counts usually include folks picking up used copies of the game but yeah its a lot of folks playing it on Gamepass.
Ratchet didn't quite blow up as I'd expect it, unlike Spiderman. That game really seems to be the de facto ps5 game to pick up but I hoped for Ratchet to take the lead. Maybe with more discounts.
Returnal is performing as expected from the kind of game it is. Spiderman is doing extremely well and I wish we got an update on Demon's Souls so I'm assuming it's still below the million.

Good enough for Sony to want Housemarque in their first party studios.
Xbox has been vastly underserved for baseball since 2K dropped out altogether. I imagine that if and when The Show hits Nintendo hardware, you'll also see a lot of pent-up interest finally bursting.
560K x $70 = $39.2M revenues
Given the team at Housemarque and the fact that Sony bought Housemarque and considers the game as a mega hit, it seems to be (very) good
Selling half of what Ratchet did seems great to me. Not sure what their expectations were but it's better than I expected tbh
Nah it's good. Especially for a new IP and the fact that it's a pretty niche genre.
Wonder how well Demon's Souls remake performed... Overall considering the circumstances (pandemic, shortage etc) these numbers are very good.
Good for them, their games continue to be great and the PS4 is a great console to ride the wave of.
That line about mlb players and gamepass is kinda crazy too, it's feasible there's more players on Xbox then on PS5.
