STORY
December 2021, Tokyo district court. Akihiro Ehara stands accused of groping a woman on a crowded train. A bystander's video footage of his attempt to flee the scene and subsequent apprehension is all over the news, and public outcry demands a maximum sentence.

"Three days ago, a dead body was found in an abandoned building in Yokohama. Have you identified it yet?" he proclaims as confusion cuts through the court room.

His defense lawyer, Saori Shirosaki, has no doubt that crucial details of the situation have been overlooked, as Ehara was not even tried for the murder. She contacts detective Takayuki Yagami to investigate this further.

How could Ehara have committed two crimes at once? Was the sexual battery just a cover up? Has Ehara gamed the entire justice system? As victims surface and Yagami digs farther into the truth, he is faced with a question: Defend the law, or enact justice?

From just a single stumble, one can become a monster...

They've been on a roll with Judgement, Y7 and now this. Cannot wait to jump in once I've finished Deathloop.

Awesome thread!

Can't wait to receive my copy from Amazon, hopefully it arrives on launch day. I don't preorder games, but when I do, they're RGG Studio games.

looks like even with the day 1 patch they didnt fix a problem i had while reviewing the game. you can have a girlfriend in this game but the quest is bugged and wont continue for me. you can level up your relationship and after each level up she messages you to go on a date. that stopped happening after the second time so i cant finish that trophy :P

Great OT!

I wish RGG/Sega hadn't messed up the preload on PSN. No way I can finish downloading the game until a couple of days now :(

Wow Kaito is next year, it would be hilarious if his 3 fighting styles turn out to be just Kiryu's styles from 0.

That OT title is incredible. Well done. I am absolutely stoked to play this game, but I think I am going to hold off for a few weeks until my schedule clears up. Still, I am very much looking forward to it.

It got nothing to do with those yakuza games plotwise other than existing in the same world, not even cameos of characters to confuse you.
So what is the game ? A collection of minigames ? Action game ? Visual novel ? What doest the blurb about the trial has to do with the high school talk ?

Action Adventure with tons of mini games and small open world areas to explore, detective gameplay, martial arts and a mystery plot to crack. Play the first Judgment before this if you're interested, since this is a sequel to that. Apologies about the confusing OT, it was very quickly put together, nobody claimed the OT.

Oh baby does it have some side-content if you want to fuck around, the main gameplay is the action part with beat-em up combat. You also do some detective work like tailing and inspecting a crime scene for clues. A school bully was found murdered and Yagami the main protagonist is infiltrating the school to find out what happened. You get to punch kids in the face.

Great OT! Still have to beat the first game though, and have also read somewhere (on here) that I should also beat Yakuza Like a Dragon first also.

I can think of side-characters and gags for the first one and mentioning clans from those games since that is relevant.
But full on something like Majima showing up and saying hello. That would surprise me even in this new game.

Master System DLC:
Sagaia (© TAITO CORP. 1986, 1992),
Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa (1987)
Alien Syndrome (1987)
Global Defense (1987)

Fuck, I didn't know there was an early access version of this, now I'm really tempted to get it. The only thing stopping me is not wanting to start up the PS4 again and having to listen to this thing sound like a jet engine the entire time I play.

My prefered way of playing would be PS5 for smoothness sake but i have no illusions about that happening soon. Combo videos of kids getting air-juggled will be priceless entertainment in the meantime.

When this game was announced I didn't even watch the trailer because I was already in. The OT is the first time I'm hearing of any of the content and it sounds soooo gooooood.

is the physical standard version (PS5) upgradable to the digital deluxe via a sort of season pass?

this is one of the few games i'd actually pay the lol-pay-more-to-play-on-the-actual-release-day-tax on, but for whatever reason it's not available for pre-order on my local psn. (and i don't really want to mess with different regional accounts anymore unless i absolutely have to.)

(i have a series x but ive played the entire RGG series on PS4/5, seems weird to switch now)

Pretty excited for this game but I do have worries about how much high school stuff there is in this given that I thought Judgement writing around women in general was very poor.
