Now that you mention it, I have yet to see them at retail either. Same with Series X. But I think it's all due to the chip shortage, which is exponentially compounded by the scalper problem.

Really looking forward to Eastward, also excited for Toem and A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build.

I've previously stated the only thing I want from life is a new WarioWare, but I just couldn't get into it in the demo at all. I think what I want from those games is doing weird things with the controller (or other input methods) to do weird things in the game, but the former element was completely missing with the character-based approach. It could still be good, but maybe not for me.

August was shaping up to be an unmissable month full of goodness, and yet the likes of art of rally, Hoa and, most recently, Baldo failed to live up to my admittedly high expectations.

The only games that compelled me to purchase them last month were both Picross S Mega Drive + Master System edition and the short but sweet Haven Park, which is inspired by the charm of A Short Hike and the light simulation mechanics of Animal Crossing.

The trio of Eastward, Toem and Skatebird are the ones I have got my eye on, and Golf Club: Wasteland looks quite intriguing too.

And then there's WarioWare: Get it Together! and Metroid Dread, which are only a month apart from each other.

It's shaping up to be a pretty good couple of months for us Switch owners ... 😊

Like always, there is bunch of good stuff this month. My wife and I are having our 4th kid this month, so I'm probably not going to be playing much, but I do plan on getting Warioware day 1. I had never played one before, but playing the demo co-op with my son was a blast, so I think it'll be a fun thing to play in the few short moments of downtime. It feels like a pretty great game for short play sessions.

I thought the trailer music seemed fine but when I watched the gameplay video (~20 mins I think) it really felt a bit like cheap nostalgia to me. Maybe I've just heard a lot of that style lately and wanted something else. I'm still very interested in the game though.

A side note - the Baldo soundtrack is incredible. They really updated the old Zelda/FF/Dragon Quest style in a great modern way. Wish the game...worked 😅
