Thought this was a good post to make a thread to create more hype:

If you had told me i'd be hyped about a TokyoRPGfactory announcement i'd have been highly skeptical, but this is really intriguing.

That's some good pedigree. I'm not a fan of lost sphere, didn't play the other one. I'll wait to hear reviews.

This did look noticeably more interesting than the other Tokyo RPG Factory games. Maybe this is why.

Oh, so THAT is what he was doing for Switch.

The game has become more interesting now.

(And who could have known that Tokyo RPG factory would finally make an unique looking game?).

The game looks good and he's a much better director than Atsushi Hashimoto so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I still remember the day Tokyo Game Factory was revealed. GAF was over the moon. And then... well. D:

This does look a lot better than usual though. Especially better than Lost Spheal.

Ok I'm a lot less worried about that new RPG Factory (change that name...) game now then.

Well Chrono Trigger is kinda outstanding and I liked what I saw in the trailer so I'm excited about the game now.

Damn, was hoping his project was going to be something crazier. Still, makes me a lot more optimistic about this game.

Yes, the trailer looked much better than the previous games. I'm mildly optimistic third time's the charm.

One of three Chrono directors right? Makes me a little more willing to pay attention to this game as it does have more artistic flare than the last two Factory builds, but what I saw gave me that same sleepy vibe

Reminder: Tokita was one of three directors on Chrono Trigger and has been more recently involved with games like 4 Warriors of Light and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.

Also FFIV, Parasite Eve, Live A Live and FF: 4 Heroes of Light. He has writing credits on all of those too - guy is great. His only questionable project is FFIV: The After Years imo.

Tokyo RPGs last two games were complete borefests, so I'm not too hopeful, but this is intriguing! I guess we'll see.

I actually liked Setsuna (my DOA thread on it from last year here), but Lost Sphear felt like TRF didn't believe in themselves for the follow-up. This looks like they are much more confident! Looking forward to seeing/hearing more. :)

I've been pretty lukewarm on Tokyo RPG Factory thus far. If this doesn't do it, then I'll stop giving them chances.

That's that mystery solved! This has me more interested than the other Tokyo RPG Factory games.

This was his secret mission from 2017.

I have to say the game is visually a huge step up from I am Setsuna and Lost Sphere.

Before it was a cool looking title that I was weary off due to allegedly mediocre track record of the developers, now my interest is back where it would be just on the title itself due to the project lead.

Right back where we started, huh?

Well that answers that question. I guess we'll see how it turns out. It certainly looks far better than previous games from RPG Factory.

The tweet says he is the CREATIVE PRODUCER of the game. Not the director, not the creative director, not the co-director, not the supervising director, not any sort of director.

CREATIVE PRODUCER, like how Nomura is CREATIVE PRODUCER of Crisis Core, TWEWY, Dissidia, The 3rd Birthday, and FF Type-0.

This is encouraging. However, I still feel a bit burned from wasting money on Lost Sphear. Some freaking Kemco games have more interesting plots and characters.

Back to being pessimistic about this game then...
