Disney probably has metrics that people enjoyed the character. Disney needs shows and you are not going to have main characters of series in spin off tv shows. Actors are not going to want to do that. Minor characters are who get spin offs, not mains.

You're acting like this shit wasn't planned out from the get-go. How convenient that the character they were positioning to get a spin-off just happened to be the only white guy in the film. All they had to do to avoid any controversy was to cast a POC in that role too... but money talks. And money is the only thing that Disney actually cares about.
