With major studios in China pushing into the genre, we could be seeing China's historically apathetic response to sci-fi at the cinema start to shift.

Also, sign me thefuck up for a disaster movie where China straps freaking massive thrusters to the earth and cruises through space in search of a new star, holy crap.

Excited for Liu Cixin on the big screen but Chinese CGi is still embarrassingly bad. I've seen better video game cut scenes. At least Bezo's is dropping a billion dollars on Three Body franchise.

Hard for me to take Chinese movies seriously when China has 1 million people in concentration camps, where they are being tortured. Kinda too big a thing to ignore, like Chinese society seems to be doing.

I mean this is some straight up Hitler shit there.
