Complaining about exclusivity of games on EGS is port-begging.

I'm not super knowledgeable about the EGS, but based on what I have read on here, I've come to the conclusion that it's port-begging, which is not allowed, but is allowed for some reason in this particular case. There are games you want to play but it's on that storefront so you either download the launcher and play, or don't download it and not play. Seems really simple to me. All the complaints (many of which are legitimate) can be boiled down to "I want it on my platform of choice."

Can anyone make the case that it is not port-begging?

I mean... if you have a question about moderation, you should take it up with mods, versus making a call out thread which will only end poorly.

Port begging implies you want the game to be ported to your platform of choice.

In this case, the platform is the same. By technical definition, it's not a port. It's already available on the platform.

For one, it's already on PC, so a different storefront isn't a port.

Not a question about moderation. It's about games that are exclusive and people complaining its not on THEIR platform.

That's like saying wanting a game to not be sold exclusively on Gamestop or Amazon is portbegging

No it isn't. Both stores are on the same platform and, aside from some possibleSteam integration features, it'd be the same exact game running regardless of the store
