It would pretty much only benefit Playstation in the long run, and would probably actively harm Microsoft/Game Pass in the long run.

Game Pass on Playstation at this point in time would pretty much smother Game Pass growth and severely limit not only how much it can grow but how much money Microsoft could make (through DLC sales, sales of third party content, etc) because it would just make Playstation the de-facto console to own

Era will never be the same, Microsoft have enacted some fanboy dreams with their acquisition of 2 major publishers. I mean you have people championing them to gobble up even more, the console warz is at a critical state lol.

It would be great for consumers, but not so much Sony. They'd lose their cut of software sales for some games...unless they could get a percentage of GP revenue from being allowed on their platform, which I don't see happening.

No. There were tons of Bethesda threads up until the sale was finalized. I expect the same here.

Of course, it's complete nonsense. Even if it's a "Game Pass Lite" limited to first party titles, the only thing it does is encourage Microsoft to continue buying studios/publishers.
