Forgive me if my thread title comes off as impolite, but I keep reading all of the bitching and complaining on this forum regarding this next generation of consoles. The latest is "my PS5 will play PS4 games. Oh my... whatever shall I do now that I cannot brag that my purchase is squarely in the next gen." I mean seriously, this is nothing new. Why do you always drink the Kool-aid when these corporations tell you things to get you to give them your money?

I couldn't care less if games start as cross-gen on the PS5. Just like I couldn't have cared less when Microsoft said the same thing months before. Is your identity so tied to a piece of tech that it ruins your enjoyment if others who may not be as fortunate as you to afford one of these money eating machines can play new games?

For a community that is always claiming to be inclusive, this is a really strange attitude to have. Play your game and have fun. Stop worrying about what other people are doing. Also, if you are so concerned about games being cross-gen at launch, how about you not having to always be the first to buy a new console at launch? See, problem solved. Like I said, first world problems.

Getting mad about cross-gen games is among the absolute dumbest shit I've ever seen gamers be mad about.

This is era. This is a bubble.
The world out there is actually excited they can now enjoy Horizon's sequel, Miles Morales on their PS4s.

In the end, more sales for the game, PS4 still gets more time to live, the public is happy, Sony is happy.

Some of my friends are hysterical about this, lmao.
