To give context - the team has been getting bombarded with death threats and anti semitism and LGBTQ bigotry.


Then GITA Jackson of VICE responds with this whataboutism



Utterly disappointing. No apology has been made since.


Basically the team apparently should continue to get hate like this shit everyday

Eh, the original joke was a reference to an easter egg in Hotline Miami. If you understand the context it makes sense - but since the context is extremely niche, it just comes off as aggressive.

Which is why she apologized and took down the tweet.
