Yeah very much unsurprising idk why they dropped 2021 at the end of that teaser, it's not like there are PS5s for people to buy lmao

Did anyone really think this was coming this year? I dont think they will release Horizon 2 and God of War in the same year. AT best they release opposite sides of the year.

As mentioned at the time, that announcement was very disingenuous and felt like a move purely to raise excitement about PS5 in 2021.

The moment they announced God of War (2021) with a release window for 2021, I knew it was going to be God of War (2022)

Kinda expected, wasn't it? We can call ourselves lucky if Horizon FW actually makes it to release this year.

i don't think anyone actually expected it to make 2021 even when it was announced, much less now that everything is getting delayed.

It was announced with a logo. You don't need an advanced degree to know that they had nothing to show and therefore 2021 in the midst of a pandemic was a pipedream.

I doubt they ever thought it was 2021. But putting 2021 on the trailer generates more hype for PS5, especially when most people are fine with delays nowadays

I expect it, too. I will say, though, if it's going to be a 2022 release it had better not be cross-gen.

I'd be pleasantly surprised to SEE the game in 2021. I always expected it to come out in late 2022 BEFORE covid, to be quite honest. The 2021 announcement took me by surprise.

If I can still get Horizon Forbidden West this year I'm fine. My most hyped games were the new Ratchet, Demons Souls and Horizon anything after that is just icing on the cake.

2021 is going to be a real drought for the new consoles especially from a first party perspective.

I never, not for one second, actually believed this would come out in 2021 anyway.
Take your time, the original was one of the best games of the generation and it deserves a fantastic sequel.

If they need more time they should delay.

No problems with that.

Gives me plenty of time to not have to worry about snagging a ps5. This title will be my jumping in point. Can not wait.

Most likely? This was never going to happen this year.

They've shown about as much of this game as Nintendo did with Metroid Prime 4.

God of War coming out this year is as likely as Metroid Prime 4 coming out in 2022.

To everyone saying "duh, of course not" - Sony SAID IT WAS COMING IN 2021. What are we meant to think?

People were surprised about 2020's releases and thought more would be affected by Covid. No, the delays have only just begun. I expect so many more delays across the board.
