Wind River was fucking awesome and I barely see anyone talking about it.
A movie that's entirely metaphor and about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face seems right up his alley, yes.

Maybe it's because of the japanese release dates? Spider-verse is like a march 2019 release in japan.
JP release dates. Most of my real favorites are from 2017 as well, since many of them didn't get released here officially until this year.
Anyway. Dangal is really good movie, got me interested in Bollywood films and I have found some gems already. Check it out. I saw Wind River just yesterday and it was solid crime thriller, they don't make enough movies like this. Given that I still liked Hell or Highwater better.
Bad Genius has been on my watch list for some time now.
Personally. I was really disappointed with Mission Impossible: Fallout.
Technically impressive. Mediocre overall I felt.
Still need to see Roma and Wind River. I heard they're great from a few friends.
