Yeah, this. If people are oblivious enough to be racist or offensive in general because of a lack of knowledge and context, they usually realise rather soon that it's wrong if you tell them.
I'm not making excuses, just wondering if one should approach things differently or not
truthI tell them that they're doing something racist/wrong. If it truely is down to ignorance, people apologise and stop.
But often, the ignorance is chosen.
And then they start defending their behaviour.
"It's not mean as an insult! It's just what he is, it's neutral description"
