I like it, but I wish there was a poll or something for the community to vote on for these types of things. Them just doing it isn't offensive either, but if it was to become a regular thing I'd like my say on it haha
I think it's cool. Nice little festive addition to the forum. And let's just say ERA needs that sort of positive spirit a lot of the time.
Yeah it's nice but the fact that it was made just for Gears and not for any other major game being released makes it feel/seem like it was paid by the publisher to promote the game. Still I like it, would be nice to do it for more games in the future

I didn't even notice it had changed until I saw this thread. I don't care. It's fun for people who like the game and shouldn't matter to anyone else since it doesn't impact the experience of using the site.

I actually forgot we used to do this here, keep doing it. ERA has gotten way too combative and try-hard serious, we need more light-hearted and fun stuff like this.

Don't particularly like it, but I approve of Resetera innocuously getting some side hustle this way.

I'd personally love to get some more information about how decisions regarding this and other things affecting the site are made and who if anyone is included in the process. The running of the site and communication has become more and more opaque in the past year in my opinion and I wish there was more dialogue with the community as a whole rather than small groups or single individuals.
No opinion also doubles for "I don't hate it" and "I'm ok with it", hope it helps.
