How Porn Affects The Brain

German researchers recently found that there is an association between the number of hours of pornography someone consumes each week and less grey matter in their brains. Grey matter is the darker tissue of the brain and spinal cord, consisting mainly of nerve cell bodies and branching dendrites. It is associated with decision making and intelligence.



Even moderate porn consumtion is correlated with shrunken grey matter in parts of the brain that oversee cognitive function.

Neuroscience is way more nuanced than "hurr durr porn kills grey matter." Did the scientists properly isolate porn as the main reason why grey matter was reduced? What about lifestyle choices

It's almost like the people who go "hurr durr brain development stops at 25" as an argument for why young people are defiant of Covid-19 protocols, when in reality, brain development is a lot more complex than a cutoff age.
