The time spent on locking, banning and deleting could have been spent listening to people and acting. But that's not how we do it 'round here I guess.
Was at GAF from 2007 until the exodus and somehow Era keeps being, in many instances, worse than anything at GAF. What are they actually doing?
This isn't hard: stop locking posts, make a new discussion sticky, unban the bans. Going forward, make a better plan on how to deal with posts that you (as mods) personally disagree with but aren't actually breaking the rules.

On August 18th (Tokyo Time), I stumbled upon a thread regarding the results of the Asian Era Meeting. I very rarely ever peak into the stickied topics, so I don't know why I ended up in this thread in the first place...

No justification at all. He was trying to have a conversation with the mods about the issues with the Asian community on the this site.
Another one? This would make the third I can think of: mods taunting Etika just before he was found to have committed suicide, and trans-era/Ketkat ban.
Stop locking threads.
Declaring a discussion over and then locking the thread is not a way to handle it. Sometimes "getting the last word" is not best way to settle a hot discussion.

We'll see. Nothing is getting locked anymore. Maybe they realized it's a losing battle and to let discussion happen.
I read it and all I can glean is that people aren't happy, but what events took place? The only thing that seems concrete was issues with the Epoch Times, which I can totally understand.
So, status quo for the mod team. These kind of bans are 100% no unheard of around here. It's pretty ridiculous how dense the team can be.
