For the officers that tried to cover up the crime no, the officer that shot the teenager is at least going to jail
Something something something let the law handle it something something justice will prevail something something don't riot or protest something something not all cops
I assume if they went after the cops who tried to cover it up they'd have to go after a bunch of other cops in future and past cases too.
Better to let the murderer be the fall guy alone.
Illinois has a statue for waiver of right to jury trial. You can opt for a bench trial, which means it's the judge only, instead of trial by jury.
