The God of war collection had a similar thing, and I recall hearing Sony helped people after expiration anyways.

Never knew about this, i was under the impression the codes does not expire.

It's the same for Xbox and Nintendo vouchers? Bayonetta code in the Bayo 1+2 release has an expiration date?

Every code provided with a physical game is going to have the expiration date in fine print. Otherwise they are setting themselves up for legal action in the future.
