FUCK YES

I'm under no illusion that he will be removed from office, but this just needs to happen. He's too blatantly corrupt. Fuck the political implications and stand for something for once.

Bout fucking time, Nancy. Now if Republicans would open their eyes to Trumps bullshit we might actually get rid of the fuckwad.

Question from a non-American. If he gets impeached, does that mean the Republicans will have to have a primary to select who's going to run in 2020? Or will it be Mike Pence? How would that work considering the Dems have been holding primaries for a while now?

I'm not from the US, so I don't know much, but isn't this like really really late? and by that I mean, won't he be out of office by the time some kind of conclusive veredict is out of this?

He's not actually going to be impeached. This is about airing all the dirty laundry in front of the electorate before 2020.

Impeachment is only the first step. The Senate then needs to vote whether or not to convict the President and with Moscow Mitch as majority leader, that ain't gonna happen.

Trump trying to release the transcript to stop this is amazing. We all know he's gonna pick an easy call to use as a sample.

It's amazing getting excited for just the damn inquiry. What will we have to go through for actual impeachment.

Bill Clinton was impeached. Its a three step process

1. the House of Reps has to vote to impeach the President (or any elected official) and send the bill of impeachment to the Senate

2. the Senate has to convict on the impeachment

3. ??? has to carry out the terms of the impeachment and force the affected party to resign

There is basically a near zero chance of #2 happening since it would require I think 67 out of 100 votes to convict on the impeachment, and republicans control like 54 of the seats so you'd have to have 100% of the democrats and like 50% of the republicans agree, which isn't gonna happen. #1 is much closer since you only need 218 votes to impeach in the house (out of 435) and democrats currently control 235 seats in the house.

Pelosi is on CNN tripping over herself to not say anything about impeachment
She's meeting with House leadership in 30 minutes and then the full house dems after that. She is speaking to the media after that. She was never going to say anything at the atlantic festival panel before those meetings.
