Never got super far into Nioh on my base PS4, getting a chance to play it on the X might make me doubke dip.
They were involved with the marketing I think, it already came to PC though

This. And I think they said the same nonsense when the game first came out. Hayashi is pro Japan and never liked the Xbox brand. So don't ever expect this game to be released for any Xbox console.
ok in that case it's not impossible, i thought they partially funded the game and got console exclusivity.

I will never understand why some japanese pubs need to do this "Want something, beg for it" shit. You companies have highly-paid, and hopefully competent, consultants and managers ... if you see a potential ROI by porting game A to platform Y then just do it and don't stir up the internet.
Put pressure on ms to pay for the porting cost and you will get it.
People thought Monster Hunter wouldn't sell on Xbox either. But you are right though, Xbox players wouldn't buy a 3 or 4 year port of a game.

I'm happy to see third party games on as many platforms as possible, but if anyone thinks this says anything relevant, I see a delusion there.

They are already talking to Japanese devs to get games ported over. That's on them not on me.
Lol Nah don't even bother, it's an overrated game that doesn't even do a third of what dark souls does. I had no idea it never came out for Xbox lol.
What makes you think it wouldn't do well? Team Ninja games have always done well on Xbox. Action Games and Souls-like games are also very popular on Xbox.
Since when was it the customers job to convince the company we want to buy their product? Next you'll tell me they expect us to pay them too.
