Tons of wild theories and hopes are being made now that MS has bought Activision, one of the bigger ones is people hoping Nintendo and Sony team up to compete against MS, now I think this is a ridiculous want, but let's see what the pros and cons would be. Shall we?

Pros:

  • Nintendo and Sony would make a console together which means that they could make a very powerful console, but also have its uniqueness to it
  • Online would benefit Nintendo, Rename PS+ to Nintendo PS+
  • The 'Nintendo PlayStation' would have games such as Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Splatoon, God of War, The Last of Us, Horizon, Spiderman, etc
  • Nintendo owns the Japanese market, Sony owns a lot of the European market, it would benefit both
  • Sony Pictures would benefit Nintendo movies
Cons:

  • Someone would have to be the one in charge; nether would be okay with the other doing it
  • The system might not have a focus
  • Only Two systems competing might completely divide the industry
  • Yes, they might make a console together, but what if Sony wants to stick with the Dualsense and Nintendo wants to use a Pro controller?
Obviously, the pros sound pretty good, but we don't even know if it would go like that.

That's some catch, that catch-22

How about we not do reaction threads based on wild conjecture?
