Make no mistake, if Pitchford could have had a BR in his game he would have. It's likely that the game was too far along in development to include one, so now he's adopting the stance that such was planned all along.
Pitchford is not exactly known as a scrupulous or reliable business person. I'd sooner trust a cobra with my kid.

Battle Royale mode in a game like Borderlands is not an extra feature. Its a useless distraction that pulls effort away from the parts of the game that the community actually cares about.
