This Jan. 6. stuff is pretty wild. It genuinely seems like we were on the precipice of a fascist coup that only failed because a few people decided not to go along with it. This sent me on a path reading about various civilian uprisings and revolutions throughout history (French Revolution, etc.). With the US falling to right-wing fascists as a more realistic possibility than any time during our lifetimes, do you think people would genuinely take up arms to fight against it? Or would we all just fall in line? Its scary to think about putting one's life on the line to fight against something like that, but scary to consider the consequences of no resistance against a fascist takeover as well.
