What are we supposed to say or do? There was like, no info or context. He wasn't under investigation, there were no charges. There's nothing to do but I guess post hot takes.

There was a similar thread recently. In short, little context, no charges. Not sure what else is there to discuss.

Iirc the context was a fan was having a bit of fun with him and Ezra lashed out. It guess my issue is that we can see it on video and the dudes still getting the Hollywood rocket.

There's enough there for the cops to at least investigate what the deal was and file charges. Victim says this was unwanted contact it's assault and there's video evidence. Slam dunk assault case.

I don't think it's really "we" who are supposed to do anything. It's WB/authorities.

It's a video that is only a couple seconds long and has no context besides what "seems" to be going on. You weren't there, and there doesn't seem to be a longer video about what happened after. So yeah, what are we supposed to say? Assume Miller meant to hurt that girl? Give me the whole story.

Crazy what a "whoa bro bro bro bro" can do for a video that has no context.

The context we have is that at a bar called rikiĂ° KaffihĂşs in Reykjavik a group of fans approached Ezra, he had been drinking that day and physically assaulted one of them on video after a kind some kind of "you wanna fight bro" style joking antics that Erza didn't seem to either get or care for happened between him and the woman seen.

Reykjavik police did no investigate but Ezra was escorted from the bar by security.

The bar called it a major incident but it doesn't seem the person being choked has made any statements.

I mean, there's literally nothing about this story from anyone, including the "victim" in this. So.... not sure what else you want? Police aren't going to press charges if victim didn't want to.

clearly we should all be using our finite time on earth to go and protest this event we know nothing about outside of WB HQ.

This is something you've just made up, a major accusation, about a real person.

I said likely. I didn't make any accusations, just speculation.

I'll edit regardless as I see the general point.

Just saying given there's basically video evidence of an assault at a bar there's surprisingly few details.

Like the video cutting and people saying whoa dude right before the cut and the camera going down and the bar actually saying to media outlets it was a major incident and Ezra was kicked out of the bar I thought was maybe enough to speculate a bit.

Guess not.

I always see people on Twitter bring this up when The Flash news are announced. Has the girl made a statement or anything? I don't know what reaction they expect when we really have no context whatsoever.

Still don't know what the fuck happened here. Hard to tell whether Ezra was playing around or really trying to hurt the woman.

"Remember when Ezra miller was on video choking and slamming a woman to the ground and nothing happened?"

Yes literally anytime Ezra is mentioned. And it's the same responses as in this thread. Seems like a lot of people want this to be a thing except the people that were actually involved.

But the victim didn't file charges or say anything about it, far as I know.

Victims "filing" charges isn't a real thing. They can contact the authorities in an attempt to get the authorities to file charges, but it's ultimately up to the authorities if they file charges or not.

And the decision for authorities to actually file charges as we all should know isn't exactly always on the up and up.

This is Iceland so tbh I have better faith in them having done some legwork on this than US cops but who knows.

Very little in the way of details here other than the video, and the bar saying Ezra was kicked out.

I'm of the opinion the video itself is pretty bad, given someone in the video says "whoa dude" and then the video cuts because presumably they know it would be bad to continue filming it for Ezra.

I think some people set calendar reminders to try to see if these takedown stories can gain traction every few months. This is not the first one of these on this site, it is very curious.

What are we supposed to speculate? What is there to say?

"I don't know what's going on, but if this was serious it's fucked up"

"yeah..."

They're non-binary, for the record.

I did not know that. I just read the wiki (always accurate):

Miller came out as queer in 2012.[34] Having expressed an interest in "kissing boys" at a young age,[35] they stated, "The way I would choose to identify myself wouldn't be gay. I've been attracted mostly to 'shes' but I've been with many people and I'm open to love whatever it can be."[19] Miller also commented on having "a lot of really wonderful friends who are of very different sexes and genders. I am very much in love with no one in particular."[15][36]

Miller uses they/them pronouns, which GQ Britain stated is done "in a pointed refusal to be gendered."[37] Miller stated that, for them, queer means "I don't identify as a man. I don't identify as a woman. I barely identify as a human."[38] Having used all pronouns interchangeably,[39] Miller has also stated that they are "comfortable with all the pronouns" and that they "let he/his/him ride, and that's fine."[40] Although Miller has been credited as a queer icon, GQ Britain stated that they also eschew the term queer, "as even queer is a label to [Miller]."[37]

Miller revealed having had a personal #MeToo experience with a Hollywood producer and a director, both unnamed. Miller said, "They gave me wine and I was underaged. They were like, 'Hey, want to be in our movie about gay revolution?' And I was like, 'No, you guys are monsters.'" Miller then went on to show support for the #MeToo movement.[38]

In 2010, Miller dated Zoë Kravitz while they were filming Beware the Gonzo.[41] In 2018, Miller revealed themself to be in a polyamorous relationship with multiple people, including the members of Sons of an Illustrious Father.[42]

On June 28, 2011, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while shooting The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Miller was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for a broken brake light, and police discovered 20 grams of marijuana in their possession.[1][43] Initially, Miller was charged with drug possession, but the charge was later dropped by a judge. They instead faced a penalty of $600 for two citations of disorderly conduct.[20] They later commented: "I don't feel like there's any need to hide the fact that I smoke pot. It's a harmless herbal substance that increases sensory appreciation."

There's also nothing about this incident on Wiki, which is a little odd, because it seems even the smallest shit gets added to someone's wiki. Didn't know about the #metoo incident, either.

I'm not outraged. Just saying the video itself doesn't put them in a good light and I don't know the extent that authorities or WB investigated what happened.

But yeah I agree my speculating went a bit far and I'm sorry. That said if it were say Trump doing this exact same thing in a video (choking someone, taking them to the ground, people saying "whoa dude" and then the video cutting because it's obviously a bad look), I'm not sure people would be so willing to just throw it under the rug so easily as we see in this thread.

The video itself is pretty bad. Imo there is enough in the video for assault, tbh regardless of what the victim told anyone.

You can't just throw people to the ground in a bar/public space regardless of if the party having that happen to them said they wanted it so happen or something (which seems highly unlikely given the content in the video itself) and the bar kicking him out of the bar.

And that's looking at it in the most favorable light possible, which I'm not sure why we're doing. The content in the video itself looks like assault/battery, and there's even context in the video that adds to that perspective. "Whoa dude" and then the person filming stopping the recording.

At the very least it's drunk and disorderly/disturbing the peace, although I don't know what kind of criminal statutes Iceland has for that behavior.

So I guess I would ask, why are people saying "there's not enough there" / what's the context? When the video and context seems bad from the jump.

It's like

A) video of choking, lifting someone up, bringing them to the ground
B) somone in the video says whoa dude and cuts the video
C) the bar saying it was a major incident and they kicked Ezra out

And the response is "where's the context", "there's nothing there", maybe it was just for "fun"

Seems odd.

We had this thread two months ago and just like then, I'm not sure what you expect to come from something like this. It isn't realistic to think that they were going to lose their role as The Flash because of a literal 5 second video.

An assault charge if there is no victim to cooperate is a waste of time.
