With the game's new found popularity on Twitch complaints have also grown about it not being a level playing field for console users who have never had the option to turn off crossplay with PC. It was revealed by Rare last week the option would be coming. Console Players using controllers can opt out of crossplay and only matchmake with other console players using controllers. PC controller users will still be in the general population and don't have the option to play with only controller users and mouse and Kb users on console(coming soon) will also only have the option to play with the general population.
The news has come with a lot of mixed reactions from the community many of them being negative with PC players worrying about the game's population if enough Xbox players opt out. It's an interesting conversation especially since the game has been out for nearly a year and it wasn't till popular streamers started playing that the complaints became large enough for Rare to address them and propose the change. Thoughts?
