Koei Tecmo has published its financial report for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2022. The report revealed that the Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water remaster has sold 340,000 units on all platforms worldwide as of December 2021.

As of October 2021, the company is still working on a live-action movie adaptation based on the franchise.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is originally available on the Wii U. In October 2021, Koei Tecmo released the remaster for the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

If anyone is interested, here is Koei's financial report (in Japanese), which also confirms that the 340k are worldwide sales, rather than just Japan.

The future of the series is looking good, seems like multiplatform is the way to go forward and helped the remaster tremendously.
