I'm sure PS4 owners would prefer having no game rather than having the game with loading screens

I don't think it will be, IMO. They're going to want to sell PS5s and Sony keeps acknowledging the generational shifts. I could see Spider-Man rereleased for PS5 as a GOTY/Ultimate Edition or though BC.
But Miles as separate purchase or download from PSN.

Reminds me of all those PSP to PS2 ports back in the day.

100 million install base is hard to give up.

Although technically that wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of a PS4 version too.

I don't see them missing out on the 100m+ install base for this game. Their sales potential would be massively limited otherwise.
