Bit misleading title but I'm curious after learning how the switch lite cannot dock or connect to the TV in any way, shape, or form. Will the "Pro" just be a strictly console switch? And how would people react to it?

There's been loads of discussion on how they can improve on switch for a pro model but people were always grounded on the fact that it had to be a handheld. With the "lite" losing its "switch", will the Pro version follow suit with a console base ? And the normal switch being the only true hybrid?

No. It will likely replace the current model. If not, then it'll add to the Switch at a higher price.

I think, the pro cant be worse than the normal switch, so it cant loose the portability option.

This doesnt even make sense - the Pro model will/would offer more than the standard Switch and be more expensive. Not less - lol.

The Pro will replace the OG Switch, so no. But if there is a market for it, I could see Nintendo releasing a TV-only Switch model. Make it look like Apple TV and call it Switch Puck.

No, for all the reasons above. It would be silly. It wouldn't be a "pro".
That doesn't mean nintendo won't ever release a console switch version that is also cheaper.

Pro model will be the opposite obviously, it'll just be a box.

Seriously its just going to be an upgraded Switch. The upgrade will probably be a whole lot less than what everyone is hoping for.

Nah, the Pro Will probably be a stronger ot more efficient version of the current model, with all the bells and whistles.
The lite is aimed to a more casual market, basically.

Why do we need a thread for this? It clearly will allow TV play otherwise what's the point in boosted performance?

Pro is OG but better. They won't take away the handheld aspect or that would be a mistake.

But there are people who will be happy to only playing it as a home console.
