For those that missed it: rumors were floating around that Chloe Zhao was attached to the Kevin Feige produced Star Wars film.

There's nothing fundamentally incompatible with the movie format and Star Wars. It's a series of 30+ years of backstory/worldbuilding in the public's eye, which actually gives it a significant leg up on other new scifi/fantasy IPs that have to establish backstory AND tell a story within the confines of a ~2hr movie trilogy of movies. That Disney has fucked it up multiple times is entirely on them
