So The Last of Us Part II was delayed to due logistics surrounding Covid-19 (physical release, poor economy, etc) but the game is nearly done.

While it sucks that we won't be able to play the game in May, this could lead to a scenario where the game launches with the PS5.

As of now, both consoles seem like they will most likely make launch in Holiday 2020 (this could always change). We should be at the end or near the end of the pandemic by the start of the Fall season, which would mean things start to open up again.

If this happens, we could see a launch lineup for both consoles including Halo, Forza, The Last of Us, (maybe) Ghosts of Tsushima and more. The delay could be a blessing in disguise as we might have the best launch lineup in console history, which is an exciting thing to look forward to during a depressing time.

I could see cyberpunk getting pushed into the fall/holiday window as well.

Those games would have been playable on PS5 and XSX anyway.

Let's see what the market will look like a couple months from now and what devs will be able to hit the Holiday Window post Covid19.

I doubt it. PS5 seems to cling to Godfall which is jfl and MS is struggling to put out Halo. Covid is going to smash any plans Sony/MS had.

Nothing suggests TLOU2 will be pushed to PS5. Its best to wait before these kind of hypotheticals.

Yeah I've been thinking the same, while maybe not TLOUII for sure some third parties like Cyberpunk, Avengers maybe even the new Batman game.

Could be a really amazing line up (even if most are cross gen).

You know games require labor and that is currently at an almost halt. Depending on how fast the recovery is the first years could be somewhat sparse or the games will be smaller in scope.

Please see announcements/guide to Era, avoid reaction threads. Too many hypotheticals here.
