"PM a mod" is the refrain. But when there's a cultural problem, the community as a whole needs to discuss it. Individual PMs that may or may not be answered just don't cut it.
The rule should not be to never discuss our community's problems. Discussing our community's problems is the only way to fix them. Burying them just makes it worse.
The rule should instead be to ensure sincerity and civility when discussing our problems. Not shutting down all community criticism in the most counter-productive ways.
