Now that we are almost 6 months in the new gen, what are your top 5 games from last gen that released on PS4 or Xbox One?
I didn't found a similar post after the release of a new gen.

My top 5 is:

1 The Last of Us part 2
2 God of War
3 Red Dead Redemption 2
4 Uncharted 4
5 Spider Man PS4


Just curious to know people preferences here!

5. Hollow Knight (cheating here since I played it on Switch lol)

Edit - Oh my lord, I somehow forgot about FF7 Remake. I don't think it's quite as objectively good as the above, but in my heart it's one of my all time favorites.

I guess. Nintendo really carried this gen for me, so just PS4/Xbox feels weird. There are also games where idk whether or not to attribute to them to PS4/Xbox, like Rayman Legends and Dead or Alive 5: Last Round. The former is a 360/PS3/Wii U/PC game that had Wii U as its main dev platform and was then ported to PS4/Xbox One. It'd make the list at number 2 if it counted but it's still a 360/PS3 game first. And DoA5 is something where the base game was 360/PS3 a few years earlier but LA was the second enhanced version with a lot of unique content and added stuff for the eighth gen consoles. That would make the list behind Yakuza if it counted, but I don't think it does.

[Bonfires Down]

1. SOMA - Simply the best story I've experienced in a game and I have no issue putting it on par with my favorite movies. And the atmosphere is simply incredible. There are a few problems - audio logs are not as engaging as live interactions and some of the enemies are mostly just irritating. But those couldn't bring such an amazing game down.
2. XCOM 2 - Most satisfying and engaging gameplay of any game and while Enemy Unknown is nearly as good, there no point in playing it when 2 exists. The only significant issue I have is that the game is a bit too easy during the end of the campaign.
3. Darkest Dungeon - Wait, I'm supposed to hate this game for wiping out my party that I spent a dozen hours leveling up. Yes, I did, but I was also hopelessly addicted to beating that fucker. The large amount of classes and skills make sure that there is enough variety to continue on even after you've been beaten to a pulp.
4. The Last of Us Part II - This one is very new for me but I think it has to be up here. A great achievement and bold storytelling for such a big budget game.
5. The Division - Maybe the best atmosphere of any game and it's almost meditative running along those New York streets. And the gameplay is more solid and satisfying than you might think at first.

Devil May Cry 5 - late DMC's great movesets married finally with solid stages and enemies, maybe the best series entry
Streets of Rage 4 - wonderfully-developed action and strong, varied encounter design; great evolution of classic SoR
The Evil Within - tense combat, exciting resource juggling, incredible variety and pacing - another great Mikami game
Metal Gear Solid V - phenomenally massive stealth game with a head-spinning amount of moving parts
Hitman - ultimate realization of the Hitman concept with its large, highly-detailed maps and per-stage storylines

1.) MKX (Just really fun to play, amazing characters like Erron Black, Kung Lao, etc)
2.) Injustice 2 (Amazing game simpler mechanics than MKX that make it fun to play as well.)
3.) Wolfenstein The New Colossus(Unbelievable graphics, best melee for an fps, and best gunplay mechanics I've ever played in an fps)
4.) Star Wars Fallen Order (Fun game that shows single player campaigns are still fun and profitable)
5.) Uncharted 4( Solid gameplay as always and impressive graphics)

Honorable mentions Control (Amazing IP from Remedy. Very well thought out and fun to play), Ryse Son of Rome for the graphics and Quantum Break for the enormous potential of the IP. I think Quantum Break is a better IP than Control. Wanted to put it at 5th but it lacks good melee, boss fights and the gun play should have been better for a Remedy game. Though the gun designs are really cool.
