The cartoon certainly shows that there is a TON of storytelling potential in the MiB universe regardless of Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones' involvement, but I'm gonna have to give you a hearty "Nah bruh" in regards to the cartoon being better than the original movie.
Men in Black 1 is still GOAT and Will Smith's performance is one of the things that makes it so special.
MiB: The Series is marred by a lot of goofy late-90s episodic kids show BS in regards to storytelling, the animation/art direction is janky as hell sometimes, and its just no where near as clever or cheeky as the original film imo.

With all that being though, don't sleep on MiB: The series, people.
Like, if you're a person who thought the first film was dope af and you were subsequently disappointed by how much MiB2 and MiIB3 wasted the potential of the MiB universe you'll love the show. It expand's on the first film's ideas in some really enjoyable ways.

Im on mobile and there is zero reason to argue the movie is a good film. Check out rlm review on why.

Ah that would explain why I never heard of it. And lol at that Broderick Godzilla getting a cartoon. Probably had a sugary cereal too.

Except it was all from random Trump supporters who had their own reasoning for hating it.

So...literally the worst possible approach they could go with.

Frankly, this series should just go with a full-on reboot to wipe the slate clean. Let it be its own thing instead of a part of a film series whose good:bad ratio is current 2:1. Maybe have Will Smith in a small role but don't overdo it with the Easter eggs like Ghosbusters 2016 did (the film was fine but most of those cameos were irredeemably awful).

I didn't really like the movie (I also didn't hate it) but Hemsworth was fantastic. One of the first signs that his real strength is comedy. And biceps obv.

The other Hemsworth is in this too? If they just rag on each other everytime on screen together, that could be fun.

Definitely putting together an impressive cast. I'm interested.

But I kinda liked the idea of the 21 Jump Street crossover. It would have been gloriously stupid. Tatum and Hill have so much chemistry.

Dang, Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson! That's a great combo. I'm kinda excited now.
