Great scores, but take Famitsu's reviews with a grain of salt. Remember they gave Sonic Forces a 35 out of 40.

Its a shame Famitsu scores aren't as credible as they used to be, still, a solid score and i imagine the game will do quite well elsewhere. Really looking forward to this one, though it'll probably be sometime next year before i get a chance to pick it up.

I think people overestimate how this will do here in Japan. These kind of games are a dime a dozen here on multiple platforms (especially portable) and Setsuna and its sequel burned a lot people. It's really just the publisher name behind it as this point. If I do grab, will pick up in 2 weeks used for like ¥5k and resell after.

Nintendog's totally deserve what it got.
It was graphically amazing, insanely groundbreaking, mega polished and very well received by the public. It did insanely well what it set itself to acomplish

Now sonic forces....

Famitsu reviews maybe be a joke these days but the actual magazine is great with interview, exclusive news and previews (which we always get). Enterbrain as the publisher does a great job.

Which just reminds me that Kadokawa Games almost don't appear there (for anyone that don't know, Enterbrain is a brand company of Kadokawa corp)

I'm actually sad that it wasn't 8's across the board. I hope they make a Nonagon traveler and get 9's again, or out of sweet irony all 8's.

Not as good as Final Fantasy XIII confirmed. Also confirmed just as good as Umbrella Corps, not as good as Resident Evil 6.

So generally you should keep in mind that different reviewers/time periods do matter for reviews, but Famitsu is open with the fact their reviews are often bought off, and in many cases they don't even fully play and sometimes even barely play the games they're reviewing. Their reviews should always be taken with the smallest grain of salt.

I'll say I didn't even finish the first demo and I was beyond sold on this game.

Looks about as close to an FF3 2 as you can get.

Can't wait for this.
