It's a good game, but it's not a Metroidvania which is what I was expecting. Reminds me moreso of a Cave Story and Dark Souls lovechild.

??? It's a textbook Metroidvania. It's a lot more Metroid than it is Dark Souls that's for sure. It's a good game, but it's not a Metroidvania which is what I was expecting. Reminds me moreso of a Cave Story and Dark Souls lovechild.
What?
Yeah you in the wrong thread dawg.
I'll also be buying CSH so hard as soon as the eShop lets me. :)A year or two ago when SteamSpy was still able to access info more easily, I was paying close attention to Steam indie releases and generally speaking, selling 100k or more in your first month placed you in the top tier of indie successes. Selling 250k on a single platform in half a month places you in indie mega-blockbuster status.
I don't need to imagine. I'm crossing my fingers so hard for our Switch release and news like this gives me hope. I'd be pleased even if we only got a tenth of these figures spread out over the course of a year. :)
"Hollow Knight's success has in large part been driven by it's many fans on PC, with the game having now sold over 1 million copies for Windows, Mac & Linux (crossing that mark just 1 day before the Nintendo Switch launch)," Team Cherry's Ari Gibson told Kotaku over email.
"We've never publicly mentioned hitting the million mark on PC, so that is another big milestone! We hit that 3 weeks ago and it kinda flew under our radar because of the madness around E3/Switch launch."
That's actually a little less than I'd imagined, given the level of positive WOM. Still a huge milestone, of course!
Fair enough: I hadn't heard that. I guess it's just a sign that impressions of a game's success based on enthusiasts isn't necessarily accurate!Steamspy estimated it sold a little under a million on PC prior to the Switch release, so we already kind of had a ballpark figure.
Hey guys, i just bought this gem of a game today on pc and tried to play it with PS4 controller. Something is really off about the Dpad input, analog feels a lot better. But I always play my metroidvanias with Dpad.
