Why did this happen? How long has this been sitting in the back? Should I buy all of them?

Mine had Grand Theft Auto trilogy for ps2 on its shelf for the longest time.

I think one nearby still has copies of Brawl too.

I don't think I've ever been to a Walmart that doesn't still have Metroid: Other M in stock for $49.97.

A lot (by a lot I mean more than one) of Walmart's I've been to still sell PS2 memory cards. The GTA trilogy on PS2 is also pretty common to find.

Start a Youtube channel. Play only games from 15 years ago that you find wrapped brand new at Walmart. There is a surprisingly never-ending supply.

My Walmart for years had a copy of World Poker Tour on Xbox in the glass case along with Xbox 360 and Xbox One games. They wanted $4.95 for it.

A year ago it finally vanished. I wonder if someone actually bought it.

They also got a lot of 10+ year old games for full price.

Reminds me of the DualShock 3 I found a Kohl's a month ago for full price. I almost bought it, but I couldn't justify the $59.99 even if it is nearly impossible to find legit versions these days.

The Walmart I work at has (last I checked) several copies of Cory in the House for Nintendo DS for, like, thirty dollars. They've been there for years at this point. It's crazy.

For $32 USD? What the fuck!

If someone were to buy it who's going to see that money after the retailer keeps their share? Would Sony still get a cut? Does Sierra even exist anymore?

I remember about 10 years ago or so my local fry's still had new sealed copies of FF chronicles and FFIX for PS1. They were greatest hits so I didn't bother. Still cool seeing ps1 games on store shelves as recent- ish as that was.

I'm surprised Walmart doesn't have a database of "dead" upcs that get triggered when something like this gets inventoried or staff scans the product to print a shell label.

So odd that this festers as an indication of the weird disconnect where this happens.
