How is it anymore retro than other platforms that have the same games? Other than Nintendo arcade games.

The upcoming pre-Neo Geo SNK compilation is exclusive, the Japanese Seiken Densetsu collection is exclusive, the Johnny Turbo Data East arcade games are exclusive, Sega Ages is exclusive, plus Nintendo's own games are going to show up eventually, so there is actually a disparity between Switch and other platforms on that front. (Of course, they have their own exclusives.)

The hardware isn't inherently better for retro games but the publishers of these games say people are overwhelmingly buying them on Switch, as are developers of retro/throwback games. People want to play these games on Switch for whatever reason, be it portability or just nostalgia.

awesome
The SNES version is ten times better than the arcade one. Kamaitachi is one of my all-time fav video game characters.

I'm pretty sure Johnny Turbo is on other platforms as well.

Ninja Warriors Again is really good.

Hopefully the remake makes the final boss a little less annoying though.

This game getting the Wild Guns treatment is exactly what I was hoping for. The original is fantastic, 1cc'd it a few years ago, but a difficulty shakeup would be perfect.

Town adjacent to Silent Hill
This is a new-ish game by the original developers in the vein of Wild Guns Reloaded, not just the SFC game.
That is exactly what I wanted to hear. The Reloaded version is how you remaster these old retro games. Make it widescreen, clean up some of the pixel art where corners used to be cut, spice up the bass in the music, and add some cool new stuff as the cherry on top. Hope they can add online support as well. Pretty stoked to hear more about this one. Always liked Ninja Warriors Again.

Ninja Warriors Again was one of my all time favorite side scrollers. I never understood why it never came to the Wii Shopping Channel.

Mega CD port of the original arcade game was fantastic, and the best port of the game.

Would love them to bring this over to Switch.

Not a new game. Ninja Warriors Again is how the SNES game is called in Japan. According to almost confirmed info, it's going to be an enhanced port, just like Wild Guns Reloaded.
Yeah Ninja Warriors Again is a sequel to Ninja Warriors (Arcade). But yeah being a fixed up Ninja Warriors Again is good. The SNES game was good but now it could be great with some fixes.

A lot of my favourite arcade games as a kid were from Taito, I they also think they would be perfect for ps4. ;-)

Rawhide claims the game is not a simple port, but an enhanced port like Wild Guns Reloaded, and made by the same devs.

Also, from the info, it seems Taito is going to be porting more of their past games, plus making new games.

Oh, eff yeah!
After playing the Hamster port of the original Ninja Warriors I thought to myself "wouldn't it be cool if they released the SNES game?"

This is awesome.

Johnny Turbo's Arcade games are coming to PS4 later.

Now that Ninja Warriors is coming back Again (hopefully with new characters and levels), could we please let Elevator Action Return have a second go-round? The Saturn version is hellishly dear, and EAR is one of the best Taito games.

Mind you, the same could be said of many other classic Taito ports to home consoles. Liquid Kids, Chase HQ and its sequels, Pocky & Rocky, the Ray series...

Hey Taito, let's go ahead and re release arkanoid on Switch while we're at it!
After Darius I hope we see a bunch more similar Taito/M2 collections for their other 2D classics. Arkanoid, Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble, Elevator Action, Puzzle Bobble, etc.

It's a mobile game but I'd also really love to see an expanded port of Arkanoid Vs Space Invaders too.

This is such a strange game. Almost everything about it would be pretty good for a 2D brawler. Except the fact that it exclusively plays out on a single plane and to my experience don't even have any platforming.

WOHOO! Was just commenting about how great it'd be to get a re-release of this game the other day, while listening to the soundtrack on youtube.

The sprites are obviously "Zoomed out" in that first screen / it's widescreen now. If there's anything I hope for specifically in this port, I hope they add proper multi-player. It\d be a bit weird since it shares one plane, but I'll still very much accept it! They added up to 4P for Wild Guns Reloaded, so shouldn't be too unreasonable.

Will this also have new playable characters? It'd be crazy impressive, if so. If they do, I hope they take full advantage of the human-like look that gets degraded to a mechanical skeleton the closer to death the character is. Was one of the cooler aspects of the original arcade game, and only really applies to the Kunoichi in "Again".

There are so many JP devs I'd love to see make semi-sequels like this. It's just great to see some of the artist still have the SNES / Arcade level chops to make things that fit in exactly with the old styles still. Heck, I'd be totally up for WGR's Doris joining this cast as an android, haha.

Yay, more Taito goodness. Kinda getting ahead, but I hope someone'll do Pocky & Rocky / Kiki Kaikai, too.

Come on taito bring some amazing space invader games and bubble bobble etc to switch.

Ok, bubble bobble collection next with a proper parasol star port

Hey Taito, let's go ahead and re release arkanoid on Switch while we're at it!

If this ends up like Wild Guns Reloaded, that is super exciting stuff.

Man, so many references to old Taito properties, but not the one that counts:

Lufia. Give me Lufia 1 and 2, Square-Enix. Fucking do it.

I enjoyed Wild Guns Reloaded so if Ninja Warriors is getting the same treatment, I'm definitely interested.

And hey, Square-Enix/Taito...Groove Coaster on Switch please.

I'M SO EXCITED!! Since the tease, I was hoping this was their next project. Can't WAIT to see how it turns out. Will be grabbing this Day 0. Please put it out physical like with Wild Guns Reloaded!!
