Roger was playing at such a high level at that point that it's unclear whether making that shot surprised him.
Ellsbury somehow not getting tagged out here was amazing. In the World Series man, he made them look like fools. My dad, brother and I were dying laughing. That's how you get a big contract in the offseason lol

As much as I didn't like playing baseball for 14 years, I always did feel cool af when I would execute all of those those on base/stealing mindgames. Bless my speed.

As someone who has no idea how baseball is played and what rules apply, the gif in the OP is underwhelming. While post #3 shows some serious cool stuff.

For context, if a fielder's foot touches on or over the boundary rope, even after the ball is in his hand, the catch doesn't count and the batsman actually scores runs. In the below, the fielder catches a difficult over the head catch, throws the ball back into the field of play and then catches it again whilst swinging his legs around so that he's lands inside the rope after the re-catch.

I think hitting for the cycle is cooler. Just in case anyone doesn't know, it's when a player hits a single, double, triple, and home run in one game.
