Do people really still care this much about Destiny 2 to have it be the cover story!? Where's our Cyberpunk 2077 cover page and story!?
Destiny is so played out in my eyes, I'm over it. Was really hoping for a big story revamp but they disappointed me greatly.

No. Two new patrol areas, one of which hosts the new raid and end game activities exclusively, which is brand new for the franchise.
Weird... I'm more interested in Destiny 2 than a game still 4-5 years away
Didn't mean to offend all the Destiny players, "my bad." I did enjoy the first game, just wanted more from a numbered sequel. Amazing gunplay sub-par story and not a fan of the level design, but that's just me.
They're easily offended, don't let it bother you. The first game got to a very good place, which is why 2 can be seen as nothing more than a complete failure to deliver, which to their credit even Bungie acknowledges.
That answer to that Guided games question is peak Bungie - not answering the actual question.

Yes, it all looks great on paper an we know the game will play great.
But they need to execute in a big way and ensure a content pipeline (which I must say has greatly improved since the D1)

It does seem crazy for all the shit that happened with Destiny 1, all the lessons learned, all the mistaked and all the improvements to the terrible Vanilla game. Yet they seemingly do the same thing with 2.

Well I think there's two things we can always take from destiny thread, 1. you are delusional 2. the same people drive by posting shitting on destiny.

I dont have a highbar for Destiny story though. It needs to be functional and not actively annoy me. I think that's probably how a fair amount of people feel?

Sorry but this is a ridiculous statement to make in this case. If someone comes in and does a drive-by shit-post in a thread about a silly interview then anyone who wants to actually discuss the game and/or interview is perfectly within their rights to be defensive. It's not like there was an intelligent discussion about the flaws of destiny and the fans aren't able to accept any criticism. Maybe if people stop trolling these gaming side threads then they will be higher quality.

The last thread had more drive by posts whining about people doing drive by posts then actual people attacking the game with drive by posts.

Yeah, the biggest hindrance to Destiny being great is Bungie. Good job creating a new mode that requires more players than you can fit into a fireteam. And then when people call them out on their stupid design decisions, they double down on the whole "We're right, you're wrong, fuck off". Basically the same approach they've taken from the start when it comes to LFG.

Quick Google search would show tons of people still play destiny 2 and it's major expansion releases in 3 months. You want them to put a game that's possibly 3 years out on the cover? That's pointless.
Just ignore the drive by posts and let the mods take care of it then? I don't know about most people or even the trolls.
I do know about Bungie though. Used to read every Halo weekly update for years. Loved the studio and their design ethos. Picked up Destiny 1 and It was a pretty big let down. A lot of people see Destiny 2 as having a lot of the same mistakes.
What makes the drive by troll posts and not just people who were disappointed? Ypu love the game? Cool man. Throwing a hissy when people don't agree or shower any mention of the game with love and praise is why the gaming side threads always go the way they go.

A cover story about a game that'll come out after 2020 is not really a good idea
Because people don't know what the hell they are talking about. For example "picked up destiny 1 and it was a pretty big let down"
With out context I'm just going to assume you played the first month and never looked back.
Meanwhile the people that played all 3 years of D1 saw it get better.
D2 catered to casuals.....it got them sales but it burned the people that kept them afloat. Year 2 is going back to giving a fuck about us again.
