Going through his Twitter I also saw tweet in Finnish "Happy Minna Cunt's day" tweeted on the official Minna Canth's day (also equality day, which is a flag day). Who was the early leading Finnish feminist icon in the 1800's. Of course it could be just a play on her name since how it's pronounced, but now it just seems like he was calling her a cunt. He's apology isn't sincere at all, it wasn't just a drunken and heated mistake what he responded in those tweets.

Ah yes, it is just nerves keeping women from becoming CEOs and other level of management. Nothing to do with the structural barriers in place within many companies and in societies in general.

The one thing these guys all have in common is they are all petty little shits. Like they have the same exact immature behavior and writing style. You can almost predict exactly what their next tweet is going to be in situations like this. They all go through the same mental process.

Personally, as an independent developer, I'm glad when people like him are called out publicly. The indie dev community is much smaller than people think, and I'd prefer to know who I should avoid when setting up contracts or promoting other people's projects.

I've seen screenshots of his current project across Twitter for several months now, and I was interested in seeing where the project was headed. Now plenty of people who probably had similar interest in his game know what kind of person he is, myself included. Also helps weed out the people who support his ignorant way of thinking, and staying away from them, too.

This specific tweet could have been tongue in cheek because of the Steam announcement that they will not forbid offensive content anymore, though.

This does not change the fact that the tweets this thread is about are pretty vile and telling about his view on the sexes.

man, I saw just the apology this morning without seeing the tweets he was apologizing for and was like "huh, yknow despite pulling the ol 'I'm sorry if I offended you' meme he did at least admit that he said some ignorant and stupid shit" so I was kinda borderline willing to to give him some benefit of the doubt.

but boy howdy those original tweets warranted a slightly more heartfelt and introspective apology than "i got drunk and said something stupid." way too targeted and specific to not be a deep seated way in which homeboy views the world. yeesh.

The "drunk" excuse makes it even worse because that only means it took alcohol (apparently) for him to speak his mind or stand by his ideals, even with how shitty and backwards they are.

I mean...in the same way that people can still support Nathan Larsen after he admitted that he's a pedophile.
