Wow. I have been completely surprised by this. I was expecting something a bit too self aware but the first nine issues have been funny, well paced and extremely well characterized. David Aja's art is fantastic and has a real crispness to it. I wish I got to this sooner. What does era think?

It's a fantastic series. Wonderfully human, beautifully drawn, and just hits those moments that as you're reading its final issues, you literally can just hear the soundtrack in your head.

its certainly one of those series that works excellently collected. I feel bad for the people who were doing it monthly as I believe it had a ton of delays.

Turned me into a Hawkeye fan when I was on the "Hawkeye is useless" bandwagon.

It was amazing, but I found it difficult to read it as it came out. Like, things got convoluted or experimental enough to make it difficult for me to follow on a monthly basis. I need to revisit it now that it's all done and read it all together.

Kate is amazing in this run

And spot on whenever it's not about herself

I don't think I'll ever forget the opening issue where he's in the hospital, kind of down and it feels like all my problems with Clint melted away.

That's a rough life.

I'm a fan, but I really hate the artwork. It's hard to believe that Aja's Iron Fist work was done by the same person.

Its awesome. Loved it. Really like Kate Bishop as well

its incredible. It's original run was full of 3-6 month delays in the last 6 issues or so which sucked, but its a wonderful story with a great cast.

also issue 19 is the single most important issue of comics to my wife and its beautifully handled.

But for real is any series not better collected? Whenever I but a single issue I have to skim the previous issue because I completely forgot the content of those 22 pages I read a month ago. It's expensive and dumb but for some reason I still do it for a few books.

Oh, I didn't know Kate Bishop was in this. Just read Young Avengers where she shows up. I was kind of avoiding this comic because Clint Barton seems boring af.

I love this but never finished it. I think I read 3 or 4 volumes. How many are there?

Fraction and Aja's Hawkeye is one of those great runs that come out of nowhere.

If you havent already, I highly recommend checking out Immortal Iron Fist also. Its also done by Fraction and David Aja, with Ed Brubaker as well. It came out right before their Hawkeye run and if you have any interest in Iron Fist its worth a read. Aja's art in Iron Fist is a little less crisp, but he does some amazing work, especially with his panels.
