Today must be bad take day.

The Haze and Zensho Habitat is on par with track design from GX.

I don't remember The Haze, but I remember Zensho Habitat and that track is awful and super barebones and simplistic. It's just a straight shot with a couple of pillars and lightning things annoyingly placed in the middle of the track to make the track seem like it actually has something in it. It's so boring.

These posts read like you've never played the game above subsonic.

Thanks for the list! Let me check a few of the games...

Shining Resonance... am I the only old school Shining Force fan that knows what this game is about and is still excited to play it? Probably.

This Awkward game looks really... awkward ^_^ Anyone played this?

I can't believe I'm buying Another World again. I can beat it in less than 30 minutes, and I've done it countless times on the SNES, Genesis, PC and Wii U, but I really admire this little game. Will wait for a sale, though.

Nah you're not but man that demo didn't help.

Part of it is that even when it came out of PS3 it was kind of a older style rpg.

I think I just don't have time for it with Octopath coming

Yooka Laylee is on sale in the EU. Is it worth playing on Switch? I'm aware that it's considerd somewhat of a flawed game.

If you're not going to be respectful and mature about discussing something as simple and meaningless as an opinion on a video game, then don't bother discussing.

Yeah, I never understand telling someone they have a "wrong" opinion. Disagreeing is fine, but a wrong opinion is just daft to say to someone.

Oddly, I tried to play online with my newly tethered phone yesterday. I wasn't able to find a match, and assumed it was due to peer to peer. Now I have no idea if the servers were just a ghost town.

I bought the game on launch, and was really hyped for it. Loved the presentation and anesthetics, but the game just never grabbed me like the Wipeout series did, which....never grabbed me like F-Zero did! Maybe I should go back and give it anothet try, but I do remember the rubber banding feeling present/excessive.

So, I have experienced my first bad frame rate drop in Ys VIII yesterday.
It was in the 3rd area of that dungeon in the middle of the city in Dana's era. Still playable. It got better once most of the monsters were defeated in that section. So far this has been the only area for frame rate I have experienced in the game so far. This section is about 30 hours or so into the game. I'm currently like 43 hours into the game.

I'm feeling very lucky not to have played Inside before and to be tucking into it now for the first time!

I'm going to savour it.

Ugh I'm working on my review for "Ink".

Please... don't buy this game. The idea is neat. But the execution is horrible.

Quick question, how's Floor Kids?
Does anyone reccomend? Any critiques?

It's pretty darn cool.

Gameplay wise, it's kind of a 2d fighter, just without an opponent. You'll do better by mixing things up, and there is a series of combos to memorize if you're into that thing, and want to boost your score.

Some people weren't huge fans, because you can kind of just button mash (as long as you're basically doing so to the beat) and get a decent score. I found that the game rewarded a more thoughtful approach without punishing creativity, however. And the art style and music are GOAT level.

It has a quest mode, with some replayability in going back to old levels and getting more stars and unlocking more characters. There is also a local multiplayer mode where you take turns in a dance off. The other members of my household aren't big rhythm game fans, so I haven't played it much, but I can see it turning into a regular part of the rotation, with the right group.

Any Pocket Rumble impressions yet?

First impressions from the page before:

Not sure I'm convinced on Pocket Rumble.

Base controls are two buttons ('A' and 'B'), with a macro for both buttons for character supers.

Specials are performed with diagonals + either button held down, so characters have four specials. There's an optional set of tap buttons that you can use to avoid having specials come out.

Remembering to tap or hold a button is not going to make your game accessible.

I get that this game originated on steam but diagonals on Switch are a hassle at the best of times, let alone for a fighter where you need to specially hold a diagonal input.

Since characters have a maximum of four specials they could have just moved to having two attack buttons, plus two special buttons and moved special inputs to the horizontal or down directions.

I owned an NGPC with a nice amount of the library and had a lot of fun playing those games, but this just gets it wrong at the moment. The NGPC benefited from having a much more suitable input method for fighting games.

I really wanted to like this game more.

I can't wait to play Pocket Rumble! Is anyone playing already?

I haven't checked but is anyone doing an OT for it? Does it deserve an OT?

I gotta vouch for Fast RMX, as well. I enjoyed it a lot and definitely recommend it.
Not to add any more fuel to the fire, but I'll say it again -- as much as I want to love FAST RMX, its biggest problem is that it's not very approachable for beginners, especially the single player. Once you get out of the first few tracks, the only way to do well is to REALLY learn the courses, and that requires a level fo commitment that might be too grindy for some people. It looks great, sounds great, and controls great, but it's not a Mario Kart-style party game for everyone, nor is it designed so you can do reasonably well on reflexes alone.

I'll agree with this. It's NOT a game for everyone like Mario Kart. It requires some.serious learning to get better. That's not a bad thing at all, but it's good to know this up front.

Don't die Mr robot is %85 off on us eshop. Wasn't it released last month? It's a huge discount. Guess I'll buy it for short sessions of arcade fun.

Actually, during my breaks of my reading for school, all I've been playing has been Picross, lol. I finally finished everything on e1 yesterday.

I'd also like that Wario demo
I'm not into Sanrio, but I might as well get it to keep me busy while waiting on future Picross S titles on the Switch considering I'm sure they'll make a ton of them like they did the 3DS.

Brilliant quick write-up.
I'll definitely pick this one up. It's an original idea for a under-represented universe, after all, its not everyday that we break dancing games.

Too bad this doesnt have online play, but with such a muted following I doubt it would have a community.
