First look at character art for Star Wars Resistance

Not much other information but Disney showed some character art as well as confirmed that it will air in October on Disney XD (in France at least?). The second picture is a little cleaner. A lot of us are speculating that the red helmeted guy could be Captain Cardinal from the novel Phasma - he definitely seems to have a black visor, which the Praetorians lack.

Main guy has that "superhero eyebrow raise" thing going on that I always cringe at a little bit (I know, I know, it's a ridiculous complaint) but otherwise the art looks solid.

EDIT: On closer inspection, why are the stormtroopers so sad?

Because those arts are so low res that i can even see some random DC Joker on the dark side with all those HA HA HA HA that joker images always have =P

Why bother posting this with its own topic when the quality of the image is so poor? Should wait until an official press release or trailer announcement. In any case, from what I can tell, it looks similar to the Rebels artstyle but cel-shaded.

Getting major Avatar The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra vibes from this art. Especially from the art on the right.

Makes sense, considering Dave Filoni worked on the former.

This is an excellent thing.

Poe, BB8, and Phasma are all there (and Isaac and Christie were confirmed previously to be doing the voices) but the new guy in the center is probably Kazuda Xiono, who is supposed to be the main character.

I actually think that the Ahsoka/Sabine follow-up gig could be a separate production, maybe a limited run animated adventure series for the streaming service or something.

Doesn't necessarily restrict Ahsoka from showing up here, but FWIW I doubt it'll be the follow-up.

Hopefully the main character sucks less than Ezra. Kanan and Hera basically had to pick up most of the slack for that show. Even Sabine was underwhelming for a good majority of the show.

Ezra didn't do anything worthwhile until the finale, honestly.

Both of Feloni's shows basically take 2 seasons before we get quality characterizations, which sucks. I mean, I'm still gonna watch it, but I really hope he gets things going from the start this time.
