Beard/Hair Toggle
  • Selected preference of beard/hair will remain saved now
  • Added support for Keyboard and mouse controls
    • [Shift]+[Z] – Hair
    • [Ctrl] + [Z] - Beard
Aaaaw yeah. Time to play that post-game with the killer beard back.
They put in a specific toggle for the PC and then don't say when they'll actually bother releasing the patch on PC? What the hell is the point of that?

Hope this fixes most of 'em. It hasn't made the game unplayable by any stretch, but given how damn good the game looked a week ago, I've been trying to just limit myself to the daily quests.

Good. If it's actually fixed, I'll let them close my support ticket.

From the patch notes:

Ahasverus can finally resume his game :p
Ok, if this resets the game to former glory it will end up to be very high in my GOTY list.

Any words of when the first DLC drops?

P.s.: thanks for the vocal group who insisted on this issues to be fixed. You made my day.

Got a reply to the ticket from a week ago :)

basically telling me to Clear Save Data Utility files or exchanging the copy of the disc for a new one :)

Accidentally I was trying to upload my save to the cloud and delete from the system and somehow managed to fuck it up. Now I am back to zero day.

I know i posted about this few pages back but I do seem to have the same issues on 1.01 as the latest patch.

So it seems there is definitely some weird bug that gets triggered by something. I am not sure if it could be system related, hdd space or something else (ps4pro).

So how close to wrapping up the main story am I if
Aya just gave me the "putting Cleopatra on the throne" point-of-no-return spiel?

Guess mid December will be when they add in the individual HUD options and hoping they add in on/off options for all the icons on the world map. Still disappointed that Ashraf Ismail and his team decided on "presets" for the HUD options after giving us a very good amount of HUD options in Black Flag four years ago. Oh well. Hopefully, the game will go on sale digitally in the mean time.

I deleted a bunch of stuff and rebuilt the database on my PS4 on the off chance it was on my end, but it made no difference.

1.05 Patch notes are up, PS4 gets patch on 16th, X1 on 20th, PC doesn't have a date (huge disappointment Ubi, huge).

Fixed an issue with Theodoros who could stay in midair during ''A Rebel Alliance'' quest

Edit:
Improved spawning delay on loot bags when killing NPCs

Good to hear. The delay has been bugging me lately and is rather ridiculous in some cases (5+ seconds).

There's also a trophy for completing the first Chariot tournament which is just LOL. That needs a patch ASAP. It doesn't feel physics based at all.

Shame, it looks pretty cool.

The main issue that affects both the Arena and the Chariot races is just how damn generic and repetitive they made them to be. The first ones are fun, you think you're getting into something special. Then you realize they literally copy+pasted it all and after the first one you're basically doing mostly the same things over and over.

It would have been 10 fold better for each of them if they just made them each have their own self contained storyline, getting to meet the other races/gladiators and then rising to the top with each fight/race that moves their stories along until you become the "champion" in each.

Instead they made them super freaking repetitive with 0 storyline behind them (minus the small storyline for the first arena in Kroklopindlisphshs (whatever it's called).

I mean even their presentation is freaking repetitive. I did the arena fights to get the Roman outfit and my god I wanted to pull my hair out, you have 5 bosses that each require you to fight 3 matches before them. Every-single-fight you have to watch the EXACT same mini-cutscene of Bayek sitting in the tunnel and slowly standing up and walking to the gate, I had to do this TWENTY damn times in a row, you can't skip these either because you know, It's SO IMPORTANT that they make you walk Bayek slowly to the gate to "start" the fight, THEN they give you an option to skip (which takes about as long as just watching the little cutscene of the arena).

They seemed to basically go out of their way to make the Arena/Hippodrome racing as anti-fun as they could by making sure it was super repetitive and just plain un-fun through all of the padding you have to get through to get the achievements/outfits/horses. I gave up on getting the "elite" ones because I was just flat out annoyed at it all.

They seem to not have learned that quality>quantity when it comes to things like that. Both would have been 10x better if they cut down on the copy and pasting design and simply have like 5 unique fights/races all with their own storyline wrapped around them with characters you get to know through each and villains you can't wait to dethrone.

I mean the whole Hippodrome thing,
You meet up with an old friend and he introduces you to the racing, talking about how great it is and you and him talk about it and have a little fight. Then you go off and actually win the races and never see or hear about him again, which seemed like such an obvious loose end, like they were setting up a storyline for the race and then just said "the hell with it, just copy and paste races and have them do it twenty damn times over and over.

So what are the best 'post game' things I shouldn't miss out on?

Finished the story the other night and don't really know what to focus on doing now.

If i LOVED AC2 but didnt like AC1, AC3, Black flag or unity....is there any chance i will enjoy this game?
It's a great game on its own. More in line with Witcher 3 or Red Dead Redemtion.
Personally this is a good mix between The Witcher 3 (authenticity of the world, questdesign), enhanced Assassins Creed (stealth gameplay, traversal!) and Dark Souls (good engaging and satisfying combat).
It's an Assassins Creed at its core, but modernized in the sense that developers took notes and were clearly inspired by such milestones listed above.

The quests with any of Bayek's old friends have the potential to be as strong as, say,

Mass Effect loyalty missions, but the sidequests with the new or current acquaintances end up being the more involved ones.

Instead of watching indicators above the enemies' heads to know what they are going to do, I can actually watch their movements now. For enemies like the Phylakes, their movements need to be studied a bit - not heavily, but just enough to know when to evade.

So one of my quest requires me to kill some specific species of birds... Is there an easy way to find those birds? I could be wrong but I think only show the land animals?

Yes, they are nice enemies. Like there is gonna be only one survivor out of the clash. They look quite ineresting too.
Like i said in other posts, this combat hopefully will improve further with the upcoming DLCs, especially hoping for more and unique enemies.
IMO a good combat system must be challenged by the enemies themselves. A varied cast of foes is fundamental and exactly in this area i see a lot of potential/room for improvement in this game.

Going by the patch notes it looks like the delayed NPC looting was a bug. Seems like there are a fair few improvements with 1.05, will have to shelve the game until it hits on the 20th. Time to finish Frozen Wilds in the mean time I guess.

I bought the game yesterday and played about 4-5 hours and it's fantastic.I'm not a huge Assassin's Creed fan in fact i never finished an AC game before but this felt like something totally new i can't even do the main missions i'm just messing around doing some side quest and loot hunting.

Also i'm experiencing this weird issue, sometimes music gets so loud i can't even hear the dialogues anyone knows what's this about?

Finished this today. This was the first Assassin's Creed i've played and I loved it, should I go back and play Syndicate and Black Flag?

About two thirds, and there's still another big region to explore, but be aware that the next mission coming up is rather lengthy and the pacing of the game is about to shift a bit.

So after completing the main quest...

I unlocked that awesome black uniform for defeating the Phylakes and I decided you know what Bayek is growing the hair and beard combo back and I just look at him and I'm getting huge Witcher 3 vibes and I have the biggest grin on my face. This fucking game is fantastic.

I remember seeing on the internet it being mentioned that Bayek's hair/beard will actually grow back over time. Any truth to this? I've just been playing with the hair and beard toggled on.
