I just noticed that Rare Replay and both Viva Piñata games received updates. The same goes for Dead Space. Anyone know what these updates consist of?

These are usually emulator updates.

Also Phil already said at E3 they aren't developing another Viva Pinata right now.

Almost every 360 BC title on my X1 (including the 360 games on Rare Replay) got an update on my X1 around 400-600Mb, no idea what it is.

While I would like to imagine, that it means HD remakes and maybe adding games to the lineup.

Logically, updates to the operating system can break games, and MS needed to fix a few things in said games so they would continue to work.

At best, they are using new tools to improve the performance of said games.

I mean, technically they don't need an update. It seems like, unlike the original 360 games and the XBLA versions of several Rare games, that the games on the Rare collection are already in native 1080p. Noticed that with Banjo, so I'm very happy already.

Yep, loved playing it, except for the ui =)

I hope a sequel can streamline the UI and make it quicker without losing the personality the first two games have.

Those games are ports. Viva Pinata runs on BC and are still their original resolution as far as I know.

A 1080p and 4K update would be fantastic.

This just reminded me that those two games are all that stand between me and having 100% in Rare Replay. Not really a fan of the genre unfortunately.

Viva Pinata is one of the best games of all time how could you :(

I mean, idk I don't play a lot of this kind of game, like I could never get into animal crossing, but Viva Pinata is something special.
