Somewhat? The paths are somewhat the same but each biome is randomly generated. I haven't played in about a year so I could be wrong about this now lol.
Was curious how much time I had on so just checked - 37 hours. Really fun game. Haven't played in a few months since that newish system update came out. Wondering if much was added afterwards.
I thought I'd seen mentioned elsewhere that it was the 17th. I could be wrong though.
It is, but you have to be OK with the loop, which is pretty punishing IMO, even though I'm used to the "lose almost everything" nature of roguelikes. I have fun with it every few months, but I can only hang with it for an hour or two before frustration kicks in. There is a good feeling of progress that gives it that Metroid-like feel (abilities that will let you access new areas, etc.), but each individual session can be really long, making the starting over nature of it sting more than it does in other titles.
Do you get permanent upgrades between runs (like in Rogue Legacy)?
