$50.00 is steep but it's a collectors edition. Hopefully the digital game will retail for 19.99 but this is switch so I'm going to guess 29.99 just because.

Website says it's shipping in August so I'd guess late July early August for digital.

Why doesn't Nintendo announce these games is beyond me. 6-8 release window is perfect timing for announcing games like these.

My friend recommended I buy this game during the Steam sale, but if it's coming out on Switch I would way rather do that.

The game is going up to $24.99 on Steam tomorrow, it's not going to be $19.99 on Switch.

Dang. Based Steam summer sale.

Picked it up for only 12$ two weeks ago.

Game is amazing btw. Played it for 20hrs now and would strongly recommend it to anyone a fan of roguevanias. Its definitely one of the best those genres ever offered.

Is this a good videogame?

It is a fantastic game. Controls like a dream, plenty of variety in weapons to make each run a bit different. You have to be okay with procedurally-generated levels, they do maintain the same style across plays but the layout will be different. I've sunk about 10 hours into it and I love it.

Was curious how much time I had on so just checked - 37 hours. Really fun game. Haven't played in a few months since that newish system update came out. Wondering if much was added afterwards.

Just a warning the game is very hard. It's a great game but I wouldn't pay more then $20 for it.

God, Dead Cells is such a fucking good game. It really is the perfect Switch game. I might have to double dip, despite already putting 100's of hours into the Steam version.

Damn, I wish I had known about this. I'm deep into the PC version and really don't want to grind all those blue prints again.

EDI: It just occurred to me , I wonder how much they plan to update the game since it's still in early access on PC.

It is, but you have to be OK with the loop, which is pretty punishing IMO, even though I'm used to the "lose almost everything" nature of roguelikes. I have fun with it every few months, but I can only hang with it for an hour or two before frustration kicks in. There is a good feeling of progress that gives it that Metroid-like feel (abilities that will let you access new areas, etc.), but each individual session can be really long, making the starting over nature of it sting more than it does in other titles.

That being said, I might bite on that CE...

is this game harder to progress than Enter the Gungeon? I loved this game, but the progression was so damn hard and grindy that I abandoned the game kind of early for how much I liked it.

I haven't played on the last update but it felt more grindy than Enter the Gungeon with how cells can make the drops straight up better.

Though I don't see EtG as grindy. I thought the problem with it was that the exciting parts that come from getting a fun weapon or synergies were too few and far between, making the decent twin stick gameplay the most common part of the game.

Funny how we hadproblem with different things.

I had fun with Enter the Gungeon even when I didn't get synergies. I just tried to work around it. But damn that elevator guy. He sucked the fun out of the game for me.
