I usually do tap nowadays but the difference between Fiji and something like Arrowhead is huge for me.

I stay in Edinburgh and the water from the tap is awesome but when I was in Florida there was no danger I would drink that stuff out the tap, it smelt gross.

Drinking Voss right now and it isn't the same at all, albeit a bit less expensive than Fiji. The difference is Fiji is really really good and I don't find any other water all that appealing anymore... Don't say Arrowhead!
Bottled water, especially in crappy plastic bottles, is a huge scam and terrible for our planet. Read Bottled and Sold by Peter Gleick and open your eyes.
Fiji is bullshit. Tap water is the way to go (although I'm aware that the US is more of a developing country in that regard in many places, but filters do exist).
My German tap water is the best thing ever.

For those who can - be more responsible please.

Get a good filter and drink that tap!

Even if you don't care about the environment, you pay more for your bottled water day-to-day than if you got a filter, or a steel water bottle that you carry with you and refill at fountains/work/gym.

What's funny is most people can't identify their preferred water in a blind taste test. Everyone thinks they can, but not many people actually can.

But this is Era, the land of 12 inch dicks so I'm guessing everyone can taste the difference.

Also statistics show that 90% of people believe they are above average intelligence. Basically, people are idiots with a high opinion of themselves. Me included

In Italy, bottled water is a pretty big industry. My father was used to sell bottled mineral water so I have a pretty good "track" record. Nowadays, I'm only drinking filtered tap water (overall, in Italy tap water is pretty good).

BUT.

Even with my experience with plenty of brands since I was born, I can only discriminate across very bad water and everything else. There are some water brands that have a peculiar taste because of some characteristics in composition but otherwise there's not much difference.

Can't drink tap water because my landlord won't replace the lead pipes, so screw this "drink tap water!" thing. When the city forces all establishments to replace their pipes, fine. I got a letter from the city itself when I moved in telling me not to drink it, yet they want to ban the plastic bottles anyway. A bunch of people including pregnant women probably drink the led-contaminated water and don't know it.

Water from the tap isn't "magically" good, it has to get to your faucet and there's a bunch of reasons that can lead to water that shouldn't be consumed.

Can't you get a container with a filter?

The water in Eastern Europe can vary from good to terrible, so I have a container in the fridge I just fill with water that gets filtered.

I have a brita filter/bottle combo I use. Though usually I just fill a pitcher full of tap and refrigerate it.

Our tap water is so heavily treated and hard it gave me kidney stones. So no tap for me. Just mainly use a filtered jug in the fridge but do buy bottles every now and then for convenience. I like all but Dasani and Aquafina. Those taste like they have been treated with shit.

Quit wasting plastic. Get a metal water bottle and a Brita filter if you're worried about your tap water.

Done.
Was about to post this, so good thing it was at the bottom of the page. (edit: apparently tons of people are saying the same thing, so that's good)

Seriously. You shouldn't be buying bottles of water by the pack unless you live in Flint or you're going camping or something.

I live in South Florida and find my tap water to be perfectly drinkable after installing a cheap Pur water filter. The water was quite mediocre before installing it though and it probably gave me cancer from all the years I was drinking it.

I was previously firmly in the Fiji camp but sometime in the past couple years or so something changed and it doesn't taste as good anymore. Previously I also thought Aquafina was the absolute worst... Tasted like dirt. But now it's fine for what it is so who knows, maybe my tastes changed. When buying water I'm usually just getting big jugs of Ice Mountain from the grocery store.
