Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom box office crosses $1 billion worldwide

I thought it was pretty entertaining, but the plot was really, really dumb. Just don't try to think too much or expect logic. It's really a setup for the next movie, which hopefully will be a lot better.

Sounds like the bad guy should have gotten into making blockbusters rather than selling one of a kind dinosaurs for mere millions.
Cool now spend the money and get some new writers for JW3, because after JW2 I'm not willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Trevorrow is such a hack writer between this stupid script amd the last one where everyone acts like a moron so the plot could keep happening. These have been really lowbrow scripts that are treated like high art for some reason, but they make a truly impressive amount of money so none of my criticism matters.
How so? I mean sure with inflation/higher ticket prices it will happen more often, but there's only 3 films over $1 billion this year.
One billion is still an incredible milestone. No need to downplay it with Jett Negativity.

It's all relative. $1B is still impressive outside of a few mega franchises. But Jurassic is a mega franchise.
I don't know. I don't spend too much time paying attention to Jurassic Park and I last associated the franchise with him :shrug:

Yea, has some of the best movies ever made. JP3 was awesome.
It's crazy nobody else even seems to try. I'd love for Capcom to make CG Dino Crisis movies the way they make Resident Evil ones.
Ehhh, Bumblebee will decide that. Going from two $1.1 Billion films to a $600 Million one isn't the best. Not as bad as Star Wars Solo drop however.

I wish. The only dinosaur movies I can show my daughter are parts of Jurassic Park. She doesn't like Land Before Time.
I would LOVE for dinosaur video games to come back too.
eh I don't agree. Still a crazy milestone that barely any movie reaches. but I do concede it's becoming more common.
