While I agree with you because the movies don't show it, she is a warrior.
I can't imagine any new cast members have very large roles. At least, I don't see how a major character could go unmentioned from the past two films in a trilogy.
As long as they are still no one particularly important or powerful, I will kinda allow it.
Otherwise, yeah, we should just move on from that thing already.
I don't actually think it would be a bad plot point to have Rey reconnect with her mother but that being said, the fact that people are already jumping to the conclusion that it's Rey's mom is exactly how people end up dissapointed. "But they hyped up Snoke so much!"

Eh, Holdo had a pretty significant role and she didn't exist in TFA as far as I can remember. Guess it depends on your definition of "major".
I mean, VII and VII take place over what, days? Weeks? And have a pretty small scope. There's plenty of room to introduce substantial characters, especially if there's finally some significant time passage.

This guy is on the right track, except she isn't too old. She doesn't explicitly have to be Kylo's age to have been a former student, or it isn't ever explictly stated all the Knights were students.

No, she actually plays actor Daisy Ridley's mom after JJ can't decide on a third act ending, so the final battle leaves the soundstage and spills out onto the studio lot, everyone gets distracted, and Daisy decides to go to a local theater to see how the movie ends. Russell sits down next to her with some popcorn while they enjoy the final moments of the film, which feature Finn being congratulated by the Resistance before he hops off his weird horse thing, jumps into a limo, and rides off into the sunset.
The knights of Ren is a throw away line to sell toys. How are they going to add like 5+ force users to the bad guys when they are already heavily winning?
She's the best, but both mainline directors have had a problem with hiring incredible talent, and giving them nothing to do

She doesn't. But similar hair and eye color is enough for internet speculation. I guess it is better than Finn = Lando's son speculation going into Ep7.
And to be fair, casting usually doesn't care much about movie relatives looking alike.
In addition to that, I don't think we know if she's even playing a human.
